“Beauty begins with the decision to be yourself” - Coco Chanel
Where on earth to start “being yourself” with the tremendous bombardment about how we should be physically, what we should wear, and a long list of what we should do? And more and more, the beauty mode filters on cell phones add to the problem. I take a photo just like the image I “should have” and I look great on social media, and as a result I don't want to socialize in person with my peers because I’m not the same.
Well, sleep with such noise!
Where are we going to end up with all this if we don’t make a stand? With Reversible – Performative Image, we propose a journey towards self-acceptance and aesthetic pluridiversity through experimentation with personal image in a playful, unique and fun way. We invite you to question aesthetic patterns and prejudices with your own image and that of others. And we use performance as a channel to express the concerns, fears, reflections and demands on adolescents and young people.
